about

Love to Love to Love
A CD 35 Years in the making

This CD started out as an LP in 1972. Numerous recording sessions with Audio House in Lawrence, Kansas resulted in one 45rpm record of "Karla & Marci's Song" and "Your Dreams Light the Night". This was released with lots of Local Fanfare in 1973.

Complications in my life and a natural bent for procrastination led to all the tapes residing in storage boxes under my bed- for a few decades! Informed that tapes don't last forever, I finally had Randy Wills of Exceptions Studios here in Topeka remaster some of the best to CD. I considered releasing them under the title of Kansas Archaeology or Procrastinator's Dream.

Meanwhile, other songs were written and a couple more were recorded and released; "December Moon" as an insert in the book Simple Gifts of Christmas, and "Blessed Be", from the Kansas Song Project CD Prairie Glimpses . The wonderful response to these spurred me on to work with Randy to record the other songs on this CD. I decided to keep some of the 70's recordings and add the new ones...sort of a closing of a circle.

The songs tell much of the story of my life so far. Especially of the love that has touched me, shaped me, inspired me, and sometimes hurt me. Thanks to all who participated in this CD project.
